Department of Pointed Growth. Est. 2026. Not affiliated with any zoning board, surveyor, or geometry department.
The Department of Pointed Growth exists to oversee the responsible, closely monitored expansion of a single point. We do not oversee lines, shapes with corners, or anything requiring more than one coordinate. A point clicked on this site remains, geometrically speaking, a point for its entire life cycle — it simply becomes a considerably larger one.
Each click nurtures the point along a diminishing-returns growth curve: early clicks produce dramatic, satisfying expansion, while later clicks produce smaller and smaller gains, right up until the Department is satisfied the point has sprawled as far as the available screen space, and its own sense of decorum, will allow.
The Sprawl Index reflects this progress as a percentage. The Nurturing Clicks counter reflects your personal contribution. Neither number is used for anything.
As the point grows, it is reclassified through eleven official tiers: Speck, Dot, Blob, Orb, Node, Mass, Formation, Structure, Entity, Phenomenon, and finally The Point, at which stage a certificate is issued and further growth is suspended pending regulatory review. No tier confers additional rights, privileges, or shape.
It doesn't, technically. A point has no width and no height; the thing you have been clicking is, strictly speaking, a circle standing in for one. We chose not to mention this earlier because you were clearly enjoying yourself. Consider the certificate our way of thanking you for the sustained, dedicated clicking regardless.
